In a heartbreaking incident in Chinhat’s Pasi Tola area, an eight-year-old girl named Shruti Rawat tragically lost her life when an under-construction pillar at her house collapsed on her. The incident took place on Saturday evening, which was supposed to be a day of celebration as it was her birthday.
The young girl’s family was preparing for a party when the pillar fell, crushing her underneath its weight. Despite being rushed to the Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences hospital, Shruti was pronounced dead upon arrival. The Chinhat police spokesperson confirmed that her family did not file any complaint regarding the incident.
Assistant Commissioner of Police in Chinhat, Anindya Vikram Singh, stated that Shruti’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. The second-grade student at a private school was the daughter of Anil Rawat, who works as a driver for a private travel agency.
