In a tragic incident in Khoh, IMT Manesar, a 26-year-old security guard was arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife to death. The suspect, Sharada Prasad, hailing from Kammankapura in UP’s Prayagraj, was held on Saturday night for the heinous crime.
The victim, identified as Puja (26), was found naked on a mattress in their house by her relatives who live in the adjacent property. The couple had been married for a few years and had two children who were staying with their grandparents. Prasad had recently quit his job as a security guard in Manesar and was unemployed at the time of the incident.
According to Puja’s cousin, Amit Chaudhury, who resides in the neighboring house along with his uncle Ramesh Chandra, Prasad had a history of alcohol abuse and would often accuse his wife of infidelity. The arguments between the couple would sometimes turn physical, prompting Amit and Ramesh to intervene.
On the fateful night, the relatives heard Prasad and Puja arguing but did not pay much attention to it, assuming it was a routine altercation. The following day, they noticed that Puja’s room was locked, and upon closer inspection, they discovered her lifeless body inside.
Amit revealed, “Through the window, we could see that the room’s fan was turned on. Later when I called Puja, she did not respond. We peered through the window and saw her lying dead.” The police spokesperson confirmed the recovery of blood-stained clothes and a knife from Prasad’s possession, leading to the registration of a case under IPC Section 302 for murder.
The community in Khoh, IMT Manesar, was left in shock by the tragic incident, with many expressing disbelief at the gruesome act committed by Prasad. The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to bring justice to the victim and her family.
