Details of the Three-Vehicle Crash in Edinburg, Texas

In a tragic incident that occurred on Saturday evening, a three-vehicle crash on FM 1925 and Uresti Road, east of Edinburg, Texas, has left one person dead and five others injured. Authorities are currently searching for the driver involved in the collision.

Location of the Crash

The crash took place at 6:34 p.m. on a busy stretch of FM 1925, a well-traveled road that runs through the outskirts of Edinburg. The area is known for its scenic countryside views and is a popular route for local commuters.

Sequence of Events

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a silver Chevrolet Malibu was traveling east on FM 1925 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Malibu veered into the westbound lanes, striking a mailbox and fence along the way.

Meanwhile, a black Tahoe with a male driver and three female passengers was heading westbound on FM 1925. The driver of the Tahoe stopped the vehicle after witnessing the Malibu lose control.

As the Malibu swerved into the westbound lanes, a white Chevrolet Camaro traveling behind it tried to avoid a collision. Unfortunately, the Camaro lost control and ended up side-swiping the Tahoe, causing additional damage.

Response and Injuries

Tragically, the driver of the Malibu fled the scene on foot, leaving behind his passenger, 49-year-old Edgar Ivan Garcia, who succumbed to his injuries at the crash site. The four occupants of the Tahoe and the driver of the Camaro were all taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
