In a heartbreaking incident that took place in Gurugram’s Arjun Nagar area on April 20, four individuals, including a young girl, lost their lives after a wall at a crematorium collapsed on them, as reported by PTI. The tragic event unfolded at 6:20 pm on that fateful day, leaving two others injured.
Details of the Incident
The collapse of the 20×15 foot boundary wall was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, revealing the sudden crash that occurred while residents of the Arjun Nagar colony were seated close by. Among the victims were six individuals, including two children, who were buried under the debris. Prompt action by bystanders led to calling the authorities for help.
Upon rescue efforts, the injured individuals were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Tragically, four of the residents could not be saved, with three of them identified as Devi Dayal (70), Krishan (52), and Manoj Gaba (41), according to the police.
Additionally, ANI has identified the deceased minor as 11-year-old Tanya and one of the injured persons as Deepa Pradhan. An investigation into the matter has been initiated by the authorities, with the police ensuring that all necessary legal procedures are followed. Postmortems will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death for the deceased.

Just a few days prior, two children lost their lives and four others sustained injuries after an under-construction wall collapsed in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district. The incident occurred in the Kumardungi area while a group of children were playing in a courtyard of a house, as reported by PTI.
