The Tragic Discovery of a Missing Elderly Man in Kangar

On a somber Saturday morning in Kangar, a small town in Perlis, an elderly man was tragically found dead after being missing for several days. The man, identified as Che Man Che Pi, 68, was discovered lifeless in a thicket near Sungai Kampung Titi Tok Bandar, shirtless and wearing only a sarong.

According to Perlis police chief Comm Datuk Muhammad Abdul Halim, the elderly man had been missing from his home in Kampung Medan Utan Aji for three to four days. His son, upon being questioned, revealed that the family, relatives, and friends had undertaken a search to find him but to no avail.

Che Man Che Pi, who had a history of high blood pressure and was receiving psychiatric treatment at the Tuanku Fauziah Hospital (HTF) in Kangar, was unfortunately found deceased in the thicket. The forensic team from the Perlis contingent police headquarters conducted an examination of the body, ruling out foul play and classifying the case as sudden death.

The man’s body was taken to the Forensic Unit of Tuanku Fauziah Hospital in Kangar for further investigation. The community in Kangar was left in shock by the sudden and tragic loss of Che Man Che Pi, a man who had been a familiar face in the neighbourhood.
