On a fateful Sunday morning in Dhaka’s bustling Gulshan area, a cleaner of the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) met with a tragic end. Abdur Razzaque, a 46-year-old resident of Bhatara in the capital city, was fatally injured after being struck by a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Natun Bazar.

Details of the Incident

The unfortunate incident took place around 6 am as Razzaque was crossing the road. The auto-rickshaw collided with him, causing severe injuries. Hasib Hossain, assistant sub-inspector of Gulshan Police Station, reported the incident and stated that Razzaque was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

Identification and Declared Dead

Abdur Razzaque, originally from Nazirpur upazila in Pirojpur district, was later pronounced dead by doctors at the hospital around 10 am. His body was then transferred to the hospital morgue for further formalities.
