Accident – Death – Obituary News : (BIVN) – A 31-year-old man is currently in police custody following a shooting incident that took place in Hawaiian Paradise Park on Friday morning. The incident left a 32-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds, who was subsequently taken to the Hilo Medical Center Emergency Room and remains in stable condition.

**Details of the Incident**

The Hawaiian Paradise Park shooting incident occurred on 7th Avenue, where Puna patrol officers responded to reports of an unknown disturbance. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a male acquaintance of the suspect, 31-year-old Vasiliy Viktorovich Trubachev, had engaged in an altercation at the residence. The acquaintance, armed with a knife and glass bottle, reportedly threatened several individuals before assaulting them and fleeing the scene on foot.

Passersby alerted officers to a man on the ground in the area of 6th Avenue and Makuu Drive, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds inflicted by Trubachev. Immediate first aid was administered by officers until the Hawai‘i Fire Department arrived to transport the victim to the hospital.

**Arrest and Investigation**

Trubachev was apprehended at the 7th Avenue residence without resistance and subsequently transported to the East Hawai’i Detention Center for further investigation. Area I Criminal Investigation Section detectives have classified the incident as second-degree attempted murder and are in the process of obtaining a search warrant for Trubachev’s residence.
