Two Dead, Four Injured in Bus-CNG Auto-rickshaw Collision on Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar Highway

The deceased were identified as Abu Bakkar Tasif, 18 of Chandanaish upazila and Nurul Amin, 27 of Cox’s Bazar district.

Two people lost their lives and four others sustained injuries in a tragic accident on Friday night. The incident occurred when a bus collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on the Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar highway in Patiya upazila of Chattogram district.

The fatal victims, Abu Bakkar Tasif and Nurul Amin, were pronounced dead at the scene. The collision took place near Kharna Chairman Ghat area around 10 pm, according to Toufiqul Islam, the officer-in-charge of Patiya Crossing Highway Police.

The accident involved a Chattogram-bound ‘Marsa Paribahan’ bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, resulting in six individuals being injured. The injured were promptly transported to Chandanaish BGS Trust Hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision to determine the cause of the tragic incident.
