Three tragic road accidents claimed the lives of at least three individuals, including two children, in different parts of Bangladesh on Saturday.

Munshiganj Tragedy

In Munshiganj, a heart-wrenching incident unfolded as a six-year-old child lost her life in a fatal road accident. The victim, identified as Shanta, daughter of Md Shakil from Barishal’s Hijla upazila, met with a tragic end when the auto-rickshaw she was travelling in overturned at Shimulia crossing of Lauhajang upazila’s Padma Bridge (North) police station. The accident occurred around 1:45 pm, leaving Shanta and her parents injured.

Chattogram Mishap

Meanwhile, in Chattogram, another young life was cut short in a road crash in the Katgar area of Patenga thana. The victim, a 1.5-year-old named Taslima Hasan Tayaba, was the daughter of Hasan from Kazir Goli area of EPZ thana. While visiting relatives with her parents in an auto-rickshaw, a tragic collision with a lorry took Tayaba’s life around 12:20 pm.

Jaipurhat Incident

Adding to the string of unfortunate events, a fatal road accident in Panchbibi upazila of Jaipurhat claimed the life of a 32-year-old man named Mahbubur Rahman from Joyhar village. The tragedy struck when a tractor collided with his motorcycle in front of Panchbibi Degree College at noon, leading to his untimely demise.
