Accident – Death – Obituary News : In a shocking incident in Jajpur district, a 39-year-old man allegedly stabbed to death his wife’s paramour, who had been blackmailing her with her nude photos. The deceased, identified as Jaydev Mahalik, had developed a relationship with the accused Manas Ranjan Panda’s wife after befriending her during frequent visits to their home. Jaydev had taken nude pictures and videos of her on his mobile phone and used them to blackmail her for sexual favors.
According to the police, Jaydev had been blackmailing the woman for more than three years, demanding sexual favors in exchange for not releasing the compromising photos. Two years ago, Manas had filed an FIR against Jaydev, accusing him of raping his wife. Jaydev was arrested at that time but formed a relationship with Manas’s wife after his release from jail.
Recently, Manas discovered that Jaydev was still blackmailing his wife with the obscene photos. Enraged, he entered Jaydev’s house and brutally killed him with a knife. The police found a blood-stained knife at the scene and Manas surrendered himself to the authorities. He has been booked under Section 302 of the IPC, and the case is currently under investigation.
The police have sent Jaydev’s body for postmortem at the Jajpur Govt Hospital. This tragic incident highlights the dangers of blackmail and the extreme measures that some individuals may resort to when faced with such situations.
