Rio Rancho Woman Dies After Stabbing Incident
On a fateful Tuesday night in Rio Rancho, a woman tragically lost her life after sustaining multiple stab wounds. The incident occurred near Riverside Drive NE at the 1700 block, sending shockwaves through the peaceful neighborhood.

Upon receiving a distress call around 10:30 p.m., police officers rushed to the scene to find the victim in critical condition. Despite the efforts of Rio Rancho police and fire rescue to provide aid, the woman, identified as 44-year-old Heather Lamb from Albuquerque, succumbed to her injuries.
Suspect Apprehended
The swift actions of law enforcement led to the apprehension of the suspect, 17-year-old Joshua Mora, a resident of Rio Rancho. Mora was taken into custody and is currently held at the Bernalillo County Juvenile Detention Center.
