Accident – Death – Obituary News : The bodies of a young man and a married woman were tragically discovered on a railway track in Barabanki, a neighbouring district of Ayodhya. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has left the community in shock and prompted authorities to take precautionary measures in their village. The deceased individuals were identified as Shailendra Kumar Dubey, 25, and Mahe Nigar, 23, both residents of Ayodhya’s Pakaria village. They had been reported missing since Wednesday, according to Asha Shukla, Mawai Station House Officer.
Investigations into the incident have revealed that no suicide note was found at the scene. However, it is believed that Shailendra and Mahe may have jumped in front of a moving train at Masauli in Barabanki, approximately 40 km from their village. The exact cause of their deaths will only be confirmed once the post-mortem report is available, stated Shukla.
Initial inquiries have indicated that the two individuals were in a relationship for the past six years, despite opposition from their families. Shailendra, a farmer, was set to have a ’tilak’ ceremony at his home on Friday as his wedding had already been arranged. Mahe, on the other hand, was married to Ibrar Ahmed from Amethi for two years, with Ibrar working in Saudi Arabia. She had been staying with her parents in Ayodhya for the past few months.
According to the Ayodhya police, Shailendra’s uncle Hari Saran Dubey received information about the bodies found on the railway track, one of which had Shailendra’s Aadhaar card on it. After identifying the bodies in Barabanki, the families were informed, and the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination before being handed over for the final rites.
The incident has left the community in mourning, with many questioning the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Shailendra and Mahe. The deployment of police in the village indicates a sense of caution and concern for the safety of residents following this tragic event.
