Authorities have confirmed that the case of found human remains near the Bowron River, located west of Purden Lake, is now being treated as a homicide. The victim has been identified as Edward Michael Milne, whose body was initially discovered on Sunday, April 14th.

Edward Milne was reported missing on March 29th by the Prince George RCMP, sparking a widespread search effort. Police had renewed calls for information regarding the 62-year-old man’s whereabouts on April 11th as concern grew over his disappearance.
