Reports from NSP indicate that a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse was travelling at a high speed behind a 2020 Hyundai Elantra when it collided with the vehicle from behind. The impact caused both cars to veer off the road and overturn in a desert area adjacent to the highway.

Tragically, the driver of the Hyundai, identified as 23-year-old Natalie Villegas from Nellis Air Force Base, succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. The loss of a young life has deeply saddened the local community and her colleagues at the air force base.

Suspected Driver Arrested

The driver of the Chevrolet, 38-year-old Hetsel Campos from Las Vegas, was apprehended by authorities on suspicion of impaired driving and other related charges. He was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
