Early this morning, a devastating accident occurred on Tuen Mun Road in Hong Kong, resulting in the loss of two lives and leaving one passenger fighting for survival. The incident took place at approximately 3.23am as a Honda Type R FD2 private vehicle was travelling towards Tsuen Wan with two men and one woman on board.

Details of the Accident

As the vehicle approached a sharp right turn near Correction Service Married Staff Quarters in Siu Lam, it veered out of control, crashing into a roadside curb and a signpost. The impact was so severe that the car split into two sections, with debris strewn across the area. The rear section of the vehicle came to a halt in front, with the right wheel resting on the curb, attracting the attention of a passing motorist who promptly alerted the authorities.

Response and Rescue Efforts

Rescue teams swiftly arrived at the scene to find an unconscious man and woman lying on the ground. Immediate medical assistance was provided before they were rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital for urgent care. Tragically, the man’s condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was pronounced dead around 4am. The driver, who was trapped in the vehicle, was extricated by firefighters but was declared deceased at the scene. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident, categorising it as a “fatal traffic incident” for further examination.

Investigation and Traffic Disruption

Law enforcement officers noted visible marks on the curb indicating the collision’s impact, along with bloodstains and scattered instant noodle packets. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, with traffic towards Tsuen Wan on Tuen Mun Road experiencing temporary disruptions as a result of the incident.

The three individuals involved in the tragic accident were identified as Mr. Chan (26 years old), Mr. Tang (26 years old), and Ms. Ng (23 years old). Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the victims during this difficult time.
