A 51-year-old man was taken into custody in Arizona on Tuesday in connection with the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Luis Gómez-Reyes in Denver’s Ruby Hill neighborhood. Francisco Ivan Romero was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, according to officials from the Denver Police Department.

The incident took place on March 29 at 6:50 a.m. in the 1600 block of South Federal Boulevard. Police officers responded to reports of a shooting and found Gómez-Reyes suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, Gómez-Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene.
