It wasn’t until three days later that his body was discovered in his house, where he had been lying unconscious. The police have since moved his body to the mortuary for further investigation and autopsy.

Meanwhile, in Makongeni, Thika, a man identified as Emmanuel Simiyu was stoned to death by a mob on suspicion of being a thief. Police are urging the public to refrain from taking the law into their own hands, terming mob lynching as a criminal act.

The body of Emmanuel Simiyu has been taken to the mortuary as investigations continue into the shocking incident.
