Triple Homicide Unfolds in Lafayette, Louisiana

A tragic incident shook the quiet neighbourhood of Lafayette, Louisiana, on April 12th, when three lives were senselessly taken in a triple homicide. The chilling discovery was made at an apartment on South College Road, where authorities responded to a welfare concern and found the lifeless bodies of 45-year-old Brandon Touchet, 49-year-old Eric Green, and 46-year-old Elizabeth Reames, all residents of Lafayette.

Suspect’s Troubled Past Unveiled

The prime suspect in this heinous crime, Chad Credeur, has a history marred with criminal activities. Currently incarcerated in the Jeff Davis Parish jail on unrelated charges, Credeur is now facing first-degree murder charges in connection with the triple homicide. News 10 delved into Credeur’s past, revealing a trail of criminal records dating back to 2018.

Credeur’s rap sheet includes charges ranging from attempted second-degree murder in 2020 to domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, simple robbery, and simple battery in previous years. District attorney Don Landry disclosed that Credeur failed to appear in court for a trial on the attempted second-degree murder charge, resulting in a bench warrant being issued.

Court records indicate that Credeur has a pre-trial scheduled for May 9 to address the charges stemming from his 2018 offences.
