Authorities have released the identity of the driver tragically killed in a vehicle crash at Erie Canal and Lockport roads in Terre Haute. The victim has been identified as Zinyetta Z. Morgan, a 24-year-old student from St. Louis, Missouri, who was studying at Indiana State University.

The incident occurred around 6 p.m. when Morgan’s vehicle collided with another vehicle before veering off the roadway and striking a large pole. Sadly, Morgan was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Morgan was described as a beloved member of the university community, majoring in African and African American studies with a minor in early childhood education.
