Indian Man Arrested for Stabbing Thai Woman to Death in Bangkok Hotel

An unsettling incident unfolded in a five-story hotel on Soi Wutthakat 14 Road in Thon Buri district, Bangkok, where an Indian man, aged 32, was arrested for the brutal murder of a 51-year-old Thai woman. The victim, Sukanya Disayabut, was found lifeless in their second-floor room, bearing the gruesome marks of 31 stab wounds.

Suspicious Activity

According to reports, the man and the victim had been residing at the hotel since April 7. The woman had a routine of staying at the hotel during the day and leaving at night. However, on the fateful Tuesday, a hotel employee overheard a heated argument coming from their room around noon. Multiple attempts to contact the room went unanswered, raising suspicions.

Tragic Discovery

After the Indian suspect calmly left the premises on a blue-grey motorcycle, the hotel staff entered the room to find the lifeless body of Sukanya Disayabut, along with a blood-stained 30-centimetre knife. The scene was chilling, and the authorities were immediately summoned to investigate the horrific crime.

Arrest and Confession

The suspect, identified as Rajman Yabav, was apprehended in Tha Maka district of Kanchanaburi border province on the same night. He was found seeking treatment at Makarak Hospital for a severe knife wound on his right arm. Mr Yabav reportedly confessed to the murder, citing anger as his motive. The police are now awaiting an interpreter to conduct further questioning.

It is truly a tragic and senseless act of violence that has left the community in shock. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working diligently to bring justice to the victim and her family.
