Tragedy Strikes Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management
A somber atmosphere enveloped Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management as a young student tragically lost his life in a fatal road accident on Monday evening. The incident occurred near the college premises, casting a pall of sadness over the entire community.
The Accident
The victim, identified as Savyo Mahesh, aged 21, was riding a two-wheeler with Pranam Shetty as his pillion rider when tragedy struck. Reports from the police indicate that the accident took place as the duo attempted to execute a U-turn near the college campus. It was at this critical juncture that their vehicle was struck by an Audi car traveling from Bantwal towards Mangaluru.
The Aftermath
The collision proved fatal for Savyo, resulting in his untimely demise. Meanwhile, Pranam Shetty, the pillion rider, sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in the area. The Mangaluru South traffic police have launched an investigation into the incident, registering a case to determine the circumstances leading to the tragic accident.
