Arrest Made in St. Patrick’s Day Shooting at Illuzion Bar and Lounge

In a recent development, Nashville police have apprehended the third and final suspect involved in the tragic St. Patrick’s Day shooting that resulted in the death of a local security guard. The suspect, who is now 18 years old, was arrested on Monday and is currently facing charges in juvenile court for criminal homicide and three counts of vehicle burglary.

The incident took place in the parking lot of the Illuzion Bar and Lounge on Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville. The security guard, identified as Maurice Thomas Jr., was on patrol around 2 a.m. when he encountered a group of individuals attempting to burglarize vehicles. Security footage captured the confrontation between Thomas and the suspects, leading to a heated argument.

According to police reports, the altercation escalated quickly, resulting in the suspects opening fire on Thomas. The security guard was struck 13 times in the legs and lower body, ultimately leading to his untimely death.

It was only days after the shooting that two other suspects, Isaiah Moore and Quinton Sullivan, were arrested and charged with criminal homicide and vehicle burglary. With the recent apprehension of the third suspect, the investigation into this tragic event continues to unfold.
