Tragic Incident at Hotel Royal Damgrete in Umuahia
Abia State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has confirmed a distressing report of one fatality and three injuries at Hotel Royal Damgrete in Umuahia, the bustling state capital.
Details of the Incident
The command’s public relations officer, Maureen Chinaka (ASP), revealed that the hotel director on Factory Road reported to the police that four military personnel had caused harm to four hotel staff members.
Regrettably, one of the employees, James Etubi, collapsed and was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead by medical professionals.
Investigation Underway
Following this tragic event, the deceased’s body has been transferred to the hospital’s mortuary for further examination. Detectives have already visited the medical facility, captured images of the deceased, and the body is currently undergoing an autopsy process.
