The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is currently investigating the tragic shooting incident that resulted in the loss of a 15-year-old girl’s life. The incident took place on April 14 on the 2400 block of Elvans Road, SE, in Washington, D.C.
Reports from the MPD indicate that officers were patrolling the area when they heard the sound of gunshots. Upon further investigation, they discovered the lifeless body of a teenage girl with gunshot wounds inside an apartment building on Elvans Road. Unfortunately, the victim, identified as 15-year-old Niomi Russell, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
In light of this heartbreaking event, the MPD is offering a reward to individuals who come forward with information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this heinous crime.
