A San Antonio man, Terrell Carter, found himself in hot water after being arrested in a Wichita County undercover online sting operation. The incident took place in Wichita Falls, where a DPS special agent posed as a 14-year-old girl to catch Carter in the act.

Undercover Operation Unveils Shocking Details

The investigation began in August 2023 when the DPS special agent created a fake persona of a young girl on the “Whisper” social media app. Using a digitally altered photo of himself to appear as a teenage girl, the agent engaged in conversation with Carter for several days.

Disturbing Conversations Lead to Arrest

During their chats, Carter, who claimed to be 34 and from San Antonio, made inappropriate requests to the supposed young girl. He asked for photos and engaged in discussions about sexual acts. The agent detailed various illicit activities they could do, leading Carter to express his intentions to visit Wichita Falls.

Identification and Arrest

Through subscriber account information, including a billing address and phone number in San Antonio, the special agent was able to identify Carter. The address matched that of a female believed to be Carter’s wife, listed as an emergency contact on his driver’s license.
