Details of the Davie, Florida Police Shooting Incident

In Davie, Florida, authorities recently released body-worn camera footage of a tragic police shooting that took place at a home in the 14500 block of Southwest 24th Street. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 12:30 a.m., when officers were responding to a medical call.

Confrontation at the Scene

Upon arrival at the scene, officers encountered an unknown man, later identified as Steven Amann, who confronted them as they tended to a patient. Despite attempts to communicate with Amann and ascertain his reasons for being at the location, he remained mostly nonverbal and unresponsive to their questions.
