The bodycam footage was recorded at approximately 9:50 p.m. on March 8, shortly after Strain was escorted from a bar on Broadway. Officer Young was in the area responding to a vehicle burglary call and remained on Gay Street for 45 minutes.

Search Efforts and Missing Person Report

University of Missouri student Riley Strain went missing while on a fraternity trip in Nashville on March 8. Surveillance footage from a downtown business captured Strain stumbling and falling in a parking lot at 3rd Avenue and Church Street around 9:45 p.m. Later, he was seen crossing 1st Avenue North to Gay Street.

Strain’s phone last pinged near James Robertson Parkway and Gay Street between 9:55 p.m. and 10 p.m. Detectives have been unable to determine his exact whereabouts based on the phone’s location data.

Family Concern

Strain’s father stated that the family has viewed the bodycam video and noted that Strain appeared to be in better condition than in previously released footage. Strain is described as 6-feet, 5-inches tall, with a slender build, blonde hair, and blue eyes.
