Motorcyclist Killed in US 441 Wreck Near Hollywood

A tragic incident occurred on Monday morning on US 441 near Hollywood, where a 70-year-old motorcyclist lost his life in a fatal wreck. The victim has been identified as Donald Lewis Miller, hailing from Mooresville, North Carolina.

Details of the Crash

According to the preliminary investigation by the Georgia State Patrol, Miller was riding a BMW R 1250 GS west on Hollywood Hills Road. As he attempted to cross over the highway, he was struck by a southbound Jeep Wrangler driven by 23-year-old Wyatt Turner from Mt. Airy.

Emergency responders at the scene administered CPR to Miller, but unfortunately, he was unresponsive. He was rushed to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for further treatment.

Investigation and Response

The fatal wreck occurred just before 10:30 a.m. on March 18, prompting troopers from GSP Post 7 in Toccoa to investigate the crash. Although the Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team was notified, they did not respond to the scene, as stated in the report.

As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident, leaving the circumstances surrounding the crash under investigation.
