Accident – Death – Obituary News : The gruesome incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, sending shockwaves through the quiet Lake Vista housing society in Dattanagar. The suspect, Ajay Tilewale, a 45-year-old man working in a finance firm, allegedly committed the heinous crime following a domestic dispute with his wife, Shweta Tilewale, and their 16-year-old daughter, Shivale.
According to Deputy commissioner of police Smarthana Patil, Tilewale stabbed his wife in the chest while she was sleeping and then proceeded to smother his daughter with a pillow when she woke up on hearing the commotion. The police were alerted to the scene after Tilewale surrendered himself at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station later that morning.
Upon arriving at the flat, law enforcement officials discovered Shweta’s lifeless body in a pool of blood and Shivale, a student in Std X, smothered to death. The murder weapon, a knife, and the pillow used in the crime were recovered from the scene by the police.
Senior police inspector Dashrath Patil revealed that Tilewale confessed to the murders during questioning, citing ongoing disputes with his wife as the motive behind his actions. Tilewale claimed that the frequent arguments and harassment led him to take such drastic measures, ultimately resulting in the tragic loss of both his wife and daughter.
As investigations into the case continue, authorities will be delving deeper into the history of domestic disputes between the couple to shed more light on the events leading up to the brutal murders.
