A distressed young man, who had been undergoing treatment for an illness for some time, tragically took his own life on Sunday by jumping off the Native Jetty Bridge into the sea in Karachi, Pakistan.

Search and Rescue Operation

Upon receiving the distressing news, lifeguards immediately launched a search and rescue operation to locate the body of the young man. The individual was later identified as Shahzaib, the 27-year-old son of Ilyas who resided in Nazimabad No 3, Karachi.

The Victim’s Background

Shahzaib had been receiving medical treatment at Jinnah Hospital for the past 10 days. On the fateful Sunday morning at 11 am, he arrived at the Native Jetty Bridge in an ambulance and tragically jumped into the sea. According to his brother, Shahzaib had been unemployed for two years and would often assist his father in their family shop.

Ongoing Search Efforts

As of now, authorities and rescue teams are diligently working to locate the body of the deceased individual. The Edhi Marine Services team is actively involved in the search operation to retrieve Shahzaib’s remains from the sea.
