A 20-year-old student from Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur discovered murdered inside a car in a forest in the United States

Washington: A devastating incident has come to light where a young student hailing from Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh was tragically found deceased in the United States. The victim, identified as Paruchuri Abhijit (20), was discovered inside a car in a secluded forest. The culprits responsible for this heinous act are currently at large.

Speculations surrounding the motive for the murder

Abhijit, the beloved only son of Paruchuri Chakradhar and Srilakshmi, was renowned for his academic excellence from a young age. Despite initial hesitations from his mother regarding pursuing higher education abroad, she eventually relented, understanding the potential opportunities awaiting her son, as reported by Times Of India citing the victim’s family members.

Abhijit had secured admission to Boston University for his engineering studies. Authorities suspect that the perpetrators may have targeted him for monetary gain and his laptop. However, the circumstances surrounding Abhijit’s untimely demise on campus have sparked various speculations. It is believed that he might have been involved in a disagreement with other students at the university.

Following the necessary procedures in the United States, Abhijit’s remains were repatriated to Burripalem in Guntur district.

Similar occurrences in recent times

An incident resembling this tragedy occurred on October 20 last year, where a 20-year-old student of Indian descent was found murdered in his dormitory in the state of Indiana, USA, and his Korean roommate was taken into custody. Varun Manish Chheda, hailing from Indianapolis and studying at Purdue University, met his unfortunate demise within McCutcheon Hall on the western perimeter of the campus.

In a separate incident, a 25-year-old Indian student, who was working part-time at a convenience store in Georgia, USA, fell victim to a brutal attack and was fatally wounded by a homeless individual named Julian Faulkner on January 24.
