Calhoun County residents were left in shock on Sunday, March 17, as the body of 62-year-old Mark C. Magouirk, of Anniston, was recovered from Neely Henry Lake near Ohatchee. The incident occurred at approximately 2:54 p.m., when Magouirk went missing while out on the lake.
Recovery Efforts by Pell City Dive Team
Following the report of Magouirk’s disappearance, members of the Pell City Dive Team were called in to assist with the search and recovery efforts. After an extensive search, Magouirk’s body was found approximately 20 feet from where he was last seen.
