Jayden Samari Reed, a resident of Waldorf, was tragically shot and killed on Saturday night in the 11300 block of Snow Owl Place, UK officials have confirmed.
Police Response
Officers from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office were alerted to the incident after receiving reports of gunshots in the area. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered Reed inside a vehicle with multiple injuries.
Despite the efforts of paramedics to provide first aid, Reed was pronounced dead at the scene.
Details of the Incident
Initial investigations suggest that the shooting occurred during a possible drug deal, with Reed being a victim of the violent encounter. Another man was also injured in the incident, although his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the case.
