Adairsville Police Make Shocking Discovery During Routine Traffic Stop

The incident unfolded at 8:04 p.m. when Adairsville police officers pulled over a man driving a black Dodge Charger with an expired license plate and without a driver’s license. The driver, later identified as Horacio Bonilla-Garcia, admitted to not having a license but presented an El Salvador ID card to the authorities.
Initially arrested for driving without a license, the situation took a more serious turn as police entered Bonilla-Garcia’s information into the system. It was then revealed that he had an active warrant through immigration related to a prior deportation.
As officers continued to process the suspect, they made another alarming discovery – an active felony warrant for his arrest in Suffolk County, New York. Operating under the alias Marcelino Bonilla, he was wanted for a heinous crime – rape by strong arm.
Subsequently, Bonilla-Garcia was taken into custody and transported to the Bartow County Jail. He now awaits extradition to New York to face the charges against him.
