Accident – Death – Obituary News :

An “extremely dangerous” suspect was apprehended in New Jersey on Saturday after allegedly shooting and killing three family members, authorities revealed, following a lengthy pursuit to capture him.

Andre Gordon, 26, was taken into custody “peacefully,” according to Trenton Police Department spokesperson Lisette Rios, after a series of violent events that prompted shelter-in-place directives in two states.

Gordon, who is reportedly homeless, initiated the day by hijacking a vehicle in Trenton and then driving approximately 40 miles (65 kilometers) to Levittown, a suburb of northern Philadelphia.

Once in Levittown, the suspect fatally shot two individuals — identified as his 52-year-old stepmother and 13-year-old sister.

Three other individuals, including a minor, were able to conceal themselves “while he combed through the residence in search of them,” Bucks County, Pennsylvania district attorney Jennifer Schorn disclosed during a briefing.

Subsequently, the suspect proceeded to break into a nearby dwelling, where he shot and killed a 25-year-old woman — identified as the mother of his two children — and then struck her mother with the rifle’s butt. The mother is anticipated to recover.

Afterwards, the suspect carjacked a 44-year-old man at a nearby discount store before fleeing the scene. The man sustained no injuries, as per Falls Township, Pennsylvania Sheriff Nelson Whitney.

He then drove back to Trenton, crossing the state border, where authorities believed he had barricaded himself inside a three-story house.

Law enforcement officials had indicated that the suspect was armed with an AR-15 style assault rifle and characterized him as “extremely dangerous.”

For several hours, they implored him to surrender, with SWAT officers evacuating individuals in the home through a second-story window.

“Andre, move away from the windows. We know you’re inside, if you wish to surrender, dial 911 now,” police conveyed over a loudspeaker. “You’re a young man, you have too much to live for.”

Later on Saturday, Gordon was “located at another location in Trenton,” Rios disclosed.

Trenton Police Director Steve Wilson noted that Gordon was unharmed and walking along a street when a patrol officer approached him.

Wilson mentioned that Gordon had managed to exit the residence before the police had fully established a perimeter.

Given that the suspect had crossed state lines, federal agencies — such as the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives — were involved in the investigation, alongside local, county, and state police.
