A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed during a “confrontation” at an apartment building in Surrey on Saturday night, according to the Surrey RCMP.
Location of the Incident
The incident took place at a building in the 13300 block of Old Yale Road in Surrey. Officers responded to the scene just before 10 p.m. after receiving reports of a stabbing.
Details of the Incident
Upon arrival, officers found a 60-year-old male victim who had suffered stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment and is currently in stable condition. The suspect, identified as a second male on the scene, was arrested and taken into police custody.
Investigation Ongoing
The stabbing occurred outside of the apartment building, and the relationship between the suspect and the victim, if any, is still under investigation. The Surrey RCMP is working to determine the circumstances that led to the altercation.
