Indian-Origin Family Tragically Killed in Mysterious House Fire in Ontario, Canada

An Indian-origin couple and their teenage daughter met a tragic end after a devastating fire engulfed their home in Ontario, Canada. The incident took place on March 7, at their residence on Big Sky Way and Van Kirk Drive in Brampton.

Authorities Investigating Suspicious Circumstances

Peel Police responded to reports of a residential fire, but upon further investigation, deemed the fire as suspicious. Constable Taryn Young stated that they are working closely with the Ontario Fire Marshal to determine the cause of the fire that claimed the lives of 51-year-old Rajiv Warikoo, his 47-year-old wife Shilpa Kotha, and their 16-year-old daughter Mahek Warikoo.

Eyewitnesses in the neighborhood reported hearing a loud explosion before the flames engulfed the family’s home. Neighbor Kenneth Yousaf described the heartbreaking scene as he witnessed the house being consumed by fire within hours of the initial blast.
