Accident – Death – Obituary News :

An “extremely dangerous” suspect accused of killing three people, including his 13-year-old sister, in suburban Philadelphia is barricaded in a New Jersey apartment building, officials said.

The Suspect and the Barricade Situation

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Andre Gordon Jr., was originally barricaded with hostages in a Trenton residence at 12:22 p.m. local time. This came hours after the shootings occurred at two residences in Falls Township, Pennsylvania. All residents of the home involved in the barricade situation, as well as residents of neighboring homes on the same side of the street, have since been evacuated without injuries. Gordon is believed to be alone at the residence.

Police Presence and Weapons

There is a large police presence around the residence where Gordon is barricaded. In footage from the crime scene, officers can be heard asking Gordon to surrender. Police have stated that Gordon is believed to be armed with an AR-15 assault rifle used in the shooting and other weapons.

The Victims and the Alleged Crimes

The suspect knew the victims in the shootings that occurred Saturday morning at two homes in Levittown, a community in Falls Township. According to Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn, Gordon allegedly stole a vehicle in Trenton before driving to the area and “violently” breaking into both homes.

The Crime Scene and Police Response

Falls Township officers were first dispatched around 8:52 a.m. to a residence on Viewpoint Lane where two people had been fatally shot. The victims were the suspect’s 52-year-old stepmother, Karen Gordon, and his 13-year-old sister, Kera Gordon. Three other family members in the house were able to hide and escape being shot by Gordon. Then, around 9:01 a.m., a 25-year-old woman was shot at a residence on Edgewood Lane. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries after Gordon allegedly beat her to death with the assault rifle.

Carjacking and Vehicle Recovery

After the shootings, Gordon is accused of stealing a dark gray 2016 Honda CRV at gunpoint to flee back to Trenton. The carjacking occurred around 9:13 a.m. in the parking lot of a Dollar General in Morrisville. The car was recovered unoccupied in Trenton around 11:38 a.m.

Investigation and Police Operations

The motive behind the crimes and the suspect’s criminal record are under investigation. Falls Township Police Chief Nelson Whitney stated that police have had minor contact with Gordon in the past, but nothing to suggest something like this would happen. The suspect is not believed to be housed and has ties to the Trenton area.
