Man Arrested in Janesville for 5th OWI Offense

In a recent incident in Janesville, Wisconsin, a man was arrested for allegedly fleeing the scene after a traffic crash and for his reported 5th OWI offense. The incident took place in the early hours of Friday morning in the 2400 block of N Burdick Road.

Details of the Incident

Rock County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call about a single vehicle traffic crash at around 12 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that the driver had fled from the scene of the accident. With the help of a drone, authorities were able to locate the 60-year-old man from Janesville, who allegedly showed signs of impairment.

Arrest and Prior Offenses

After a thorough investigation, the man was arrested for operating while intoxicated. This arrest marks his 5th OWI offense, as he has previously been convicted of the same charge on four separate occasions. Following his arrest, the man was taken to the Rock County Jail for further processing.
