Accident – Death – Obituary News : Rohtak: Mehar Singh Numberdar, the 83-year-old head of the Sarv Khap panchayat (Meham Chaubisi), tragically passed away in a road accident on Thursday morning. He was hit by an unknown vehicle while he was out for his regular morning walk. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the accident, leaving Mehar Singh Numberdar injured. He was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
In a separate incident in Shimla, three individuals lost their lives and one person was injured when the vehicle they were traveling in plunged into a 300-meter-deep gorge in Chopal sub-division of Shimla district. The accident occurred at Chafalah on the Dhabas-Saren road. The deceased were identified as Kamlesh Thakur (42) from Dimoh village in Chopal, Devdutt Sharma (35) from Jasaut village, and Rajesh (42) from Sarahan. Dinesh from Dimoh village sustained injuries in the tragic incident.
On a brighter note, a young boy from Rohtak, Rohit Dhaka of Sundana village, achieved All India Rank 3 in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) assistant commandants (executive) examination conducted by the UPSC. The 34-year-old completed his schooling from Sainik School, Kunjpura, Karnal. His remarkable achievement has brought pride to the community.
