A tragic incident occurred in the Konapara area of Dhaka’s Jatrabari on Friday afternoon, resulting in the death of a 40-year-old man. The victim, identified as Kamal Hossain, was the son of Sirajul Islam, a resident of the area.
Kamal’s brother, Md Akhter Hossain, recounted the devastating events that led to his brother’s untimely demise. According to him, Kamal was crossing the road after finishing his work in his workshop when a speeding motorcycle collided with him.
Witnesses to the accident rushed to Kamal’s aid and he was quickly taken to a nearby hospital. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Tragically, doctors at DMCH pronounced him dead upon his arrival.
Inspector Bachchu Mia, in charge of the DMCH police outpost, confirmed that Kamal’s body has been placed in the hospital morgue. The local authorities have been notified of the incident and are investigating the matter further.
The community in Konapara is reeling from the loss of Kamal Hossain, a hardworking individual who was well-known in the area. The accident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers faced by pedestrians on the busy streets of Dhaka.
