The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has made an arrest in connection to a tragic incident that occurred on Feb. 25 on the 700 block of Morton Street, NW in Washington D.C.

Details of the Incident

According to MPD reports, officers were called to the scene following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim with gunshot wounds in the rear alley of the location. Tragically, the victim, identified as 17-year-old Jabari Malloy, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Arrest Made

After thorough investigation, on March 14, the authorities arrested 42-year-old Rico Antjuan Parker. Parker has been charged with first-degree premeditated murder while armed in connection to the incident on Morton Street.

Case Progress

An arrest warrant was issued for Parker, and he was taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation. The MPD continues to work diligently to gather evidence and ensure justice is served for the victim and his family.
