Accident – Death – Obituary News : A tragic accident took place in Gazipur’s Sreepur upazila this afternoon, resulting in the untimely death of a man named Dulal Hossain. The 50-year-old victim, who worked as a vegetable trader in Maona Chowrasta of Sreepur, was hit by a lorry near Maona Power Plant on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway.
According to Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahmud Morshed of Maona Highway Police Station, the fatal incident occurred when the Dhaka-bound lorry struck Dulal as he was crossing the road. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The driver of the lorry fled the scene, and police have since seized the vehicle. A case will be filed in connection with the accident.
Anwara Begum, the sister of the deceased, shared that Dulal supported his family by selling vegetables. In a heartbreaking turn of events, she had purchased groceries and an electric fan for him, but he never got the chance to receive them.
This tragic event serves as a reminder of the dangers faced by individuals on the roads, highlighting the importance of road safety measures. The community is left mourning the loss of a hardworking individual who was simply trying to make ends meet.
