A father in Glynn County, Georgia, has been charged with murder following the death of his 5-month-old son. The tragic incident unfolded on June 4, 2023, when officers responded to a call at a home off Odyssey Lake Circle. The father, identified as Daniel Hudson, initially claimed that his son’s injuries were the result of a fall.

Father Charged with Murder After Son’s Death

Despite efforts to save the baby, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Medical professionals discovered multiple injuries on the child, prompting further investigation.

Months later, on Thursday, authorities announced that the medical examiner determined the cause of death to be blunt force trauma to the head. Subsequently, Daniel Hudson was taken into custody at Southeast Georgia Health Systems.

Charges and Investigation Details

Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) investigators collaborated with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Medical Examiner’s Office and the Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death. As a result, Hudson faces multiple charges, including murder, cruelty to children in the first degree, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery. He is currently held at the Glynn County jail.
