In Hueytown, Alabama, a recent arrest has been made in connection with a murder that took place back in February. The Hueytown Police Department has announced that a Bessemer man, La’Garyeus Lamar Boglin, has been identified as a second suspect in the murder of 43-year-old Contravia Lamond Jackson.
The victim, Jackson, was found dead on February 19, 2024, in the front seat of a vehicle in the driveway of a residence on June Avenue in Hueytown. This tragic incident shook the local community, and the authorities have been working diligently to bring those responsible to justice.
Following an extensive investigation, Boglin was charged with felony murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping, and first-degree burglary in connection with Jackson’s death. The US Marshal Service apprehended Boglin, and he is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail in Bessemer with no bond set.
