A young girl from Swift Current has captured the hearts of millions online, but now she is facing a health scare. Bella, known to her followers as ‘Bella Brave’, has been admitted to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon after a sudden complication.
Details of the Incident
Bella’s mother, Kyla Thompson, shared the harrowing details of what happened that led to Bella’s hospitalization. She described waking up to her husband calling for help from Bella’s room, where they found her unresponsive and weak. This was a stark contrast to previous health scares, where Bella was already in a hospital when things took a turn for the worse.
After calling 911, Bella was rushed to the hospital in Swift Current before being transferred to Saskatoon for more specialized care.
Diagnosis and Treatment
According to the family, doctors have identified “SVC syndrome” as the initial cause of Bella’s health decline. This condition affects a major vein that carries blood from the head, neck, arms, and chest to the heart. It can be caused by blood clots, and the family is awaiting further tests to determine the exact nature of the issue.
Kyla mentioned that the solution could be as simple as adjusting the type of blood thinner injection Bella receives. However, more tests, including a CT scan and MRI, are needed to fully assess the situation.
