Tragic Incident Unfolds in Saidapur Village, Near Karad
A small village near Karad, called Saidapur, was rocked by a tragic incident that took place on Wednesday night. The peaceful atmosphere of this rural community was shattered when a father lost his life in a violent altercation involving his own son and a married woman.
Details of the Unfortunate Event
The victim, Baba Alwant Madane, a 50-year-old sugarcane labourer from Tadwale-Vadooj, Khatav, was fatally stabbed in a brutal attack. His wife, Indu, and younger son, Ajit, also suffered severe injuries during the confrontation. The accused, Vijay Dharma Jadhav, aged 55, was swiftly apprehended by the Karad city police in connection with the incident.
Community Tensions and Tragic Outcomes
Baba Madane and his family, along with the accused Vijay Jadhav and his kin, worked as sugarcane cutters on the same farm in Saidapur. The tense relations between the two families escalated when Akshay, the elder son of Madane, allegedly abducted a married woman associated with Jadhav.
On the night of the incident, Vijay Jadhav arrived at Madane’s hut on a two-wheeler and launched a vicious knife attack in a fit of rage. Indu bore the brunt of the assault, sustaining multiple stab wounds, while Baba Madane tragically succumbed to fatal stab wounds to the chest. Ajit was rushed to the city hospital in critical condition.

After committing the crime, Vijay Jadhav attempted to flee the scene. However, the quick response of the Karad city police, led by senior police inspector Kondiram Patil, resulted in his prompt arrest with the help of local residents.
