Gun and Collector Coin Theft Reported in Lancaster

A recent report from the Lancaster Police Department has revealed that multiple guns and collector coin sets were stolen from a man’s home while he was away at hospitals and care facilities. The thefts were reported on Tuesday, with the homeowner, John G. Snider, discovering the missing items upon his return to Grant County.

Details of the Theft

According to police, Snider had been away at hospitals and care facilities since January 1st. Upon his return, he found that 14 guns, multiple collector sets of coins, and several coin jars were missing from his residence. One of the stolen firearms has been identified as a Charles Daly model 500 12 Gauge.

Connection to Previous Incident

Interestingly, on December 1st, 2023, another individual in the same neighborhood reported coins stolen from their home. Police suspect that these incidents may be connected and are currently investigating the matter.
