Second Arrest Made in Connection to Murder Case

Another individual has been taken into custody in relation to a recent murder case in Iredell County. The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit apprehended and charged Ashlee Louise Klepfer, aged 40, who happens to be the wife of the suspect who was fatally shot last week, Justin Michael Strawser, aged 39, from Cleveland, N.C.

Details of the Incident

The victims of the murder have been identified as 22-year-old Eduardo Cordova from Mooresville and 24-year-old Caleb Loper from Lincolnton. Their bodies were discovered at a residence on Home Drive in Mooresville. The fatal encounter that led to Strawser being shot by officers took place at a property on Oswalt Amity Road.

Involvement of Ashlee Louise Klepfer

During the investigation, it was revealed that Klepfer had some level of involvement by assisting her husband after the murders were committed. Furthermore, it was uncovered that she allowed four juveniles to access firearms inside her home during the standoff.

Arrest Warrants and Charges

Homicide Investigators secured arrest warrants for Klepfer on Tuesday, charging her with various offences including felony counts of accessory after the fact, possession of methamphetamine, and possession with intent to distribute meth. Additionally, she faces five counts of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor and four counts of failure to secure firearms from minors.

Arrest and Bond

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team deputies located and apprehended Klepfer during a traffic stop in Statesville. A 15-year-old male juvenile was also present in the vehicle with Klepfer, found in possession of a loaded handgun and methamphetamine. Both individuals were taken into custody, with the juvenile receiving a secure custody order from the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Klepfer was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where she was initially held without bond. Her bond has now been set at £1,050,000 secured. A District Court appearance was scheduled for Wednesday.
