A man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting in south-east London, as detectives appeal for witnesses to come forward.

According to the Metropolitan Police: The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning on Catford Broadway. Authorities were alerted at approximately 04:30hrs and responded swiftly to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers and paramedics found a man with a gunshot wound, who tragically succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been named as 30-year-old Shaquille Graham, with his family being supported by dedicated liaison officers.

Homicide detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, with no arrests made thus far. Detective Superintendent Brian Hobbs from the Met’s Specialist Crime unit stated: “We are progressing well with our inquiries and pursuing several leads.

“Despite the incident occurring during the night, the location on a bustling road suggests there may have been witnesses who observed or heard something significant.

“I urge anyone in possession of information, yet to come forward to the authorities, to do so promptly.

“Our primary objective is to deliver justice for Shaquille’s grieving loved ones and friends.”
